• A provider in your area receives the details.
• The provider contacts you to confirm the basics and set a time to look.
• You receive a written quote.

Many providers can respond quickly, but timing varies by provider and season. Ask about scheduling when you first talk.

What to Ask a Provider

Good questions save money and prevent surprises. Bring this list:

• Which credentials and licenses do you hold for mold work in New York?
• Do you test before removal, and who analyzes the samples?
• How will you contain the area so spores do not spread?
• What will you do about the moisture source?

If you are looking for certified mold testing, ask for the specific certification and who issued it. A provider with real credentials will name them without hesitation.
